How To Dress For Your Body Shape, Part 2

Hey everyone! How’s your week going so far? Hope you are all having a smooth one :)

As I mentioned in my previous post, I will be doing a series of how to dress accordingly with our body shape, and today is about the rectangle shape!  If you’re a ruler, then you have little or no curves, which means a boyish figure.  Is it something bad? Of course not! We are all beautiful in our own ways; you can’t define beauty with a specific body shape.  What creates beauty is everything that comes with the package.  Facial features, hair, weight, proportions, body mass index, and most importantly the SOUL! .. Having a good heart, a good feeling towards life, environment and all living-being.  Having positive thoughts, positive approach to life and spreading happiness and love is the most important facts about beauty. Because when your soul is beautiful, then you are too...  Yep, I’m keeping it kind of long I guess :)

So, if we must go back to the subject, rectangles must create the illusion of volume and curves with some little tricks, such as frills, peplum and flowy fabrics. What if you don’t like frills and stuff, then you just need to keep in mind some shapes and cuts.  For a little extra plunge, wear V neck tops to create a fuller top; to create a waist line, chinch your waist with a nice belt and keep the top flowy; this will give you the illusion of curves. 

As for jeans and pants, grab your skinny jeans or your slightly flared bottoms as flare creates curves and softens the straight look.  But as I said, skinnies will also look great because most rectangles are a bit athletic and they can pull off the skinny look well.  Just remember to use volume tops or a structured blazer/jacket for some extra curves.  

Pencil skirts, A line skirts and peplum detailed skirts will look great on rectangles, as it gives dimension and curves. 

Creating volume and illusion of curves is all about being a rectangle.  So, get into your closet and experiment with what you have and try on many many things keeping in mind these simple rules.

İyi bir kalbe sahip olmak, hayata, çevreye ve yaşayan her şeye/herkese karşı pozitif yaklaşmak... Etrafa mutluluk ve sevgi yaymak güzelliğin en önemli kısmı bence.  Neden mi? Ruhunuz güzel olduğunda dışınızın güzel olmaması imkansızdır... Sanırım biraz uzattım konuyu :)

Konuya geri dönmek gerekirse, dikdörtgen tipli olanların dikkat etmesi gereken en önemli şey hacim ve kıvrım ilüzyonu yaratmaktır.  Birtakım küçük hilelerle bunu başarabilirsiniz.  Fırfırlar, volanlar, peplum detaylar ve uçuşan dökümlü kumaşlar.  Fırfır gibi fazla feminen detayları sevmiyorsanız, tarzınız değilse, çeşitli kesim ve şekillere yönelebilirsiniz.  V yaka üstlere yönelmek daha hacimli bir üst etkisi yaratır örneğin.  Belinizi vurgulamak için kemerlerden faydalanabilir ve üstünüzü dökümlü tutarsanız alın size hacim ve kıvrım etkisi :)
